Help us celebrate our 100 Year Anniversary of our charter in the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America! We have already had a Charter Night in February, Gala in March, and Italian Mass in October. Join us as we continue the festivities at our annual SOI Christmas Party! This year, we are commemorating this joyous and proud year with a special event at the Double Tree on University Boulevard in Moon Township. The cost for this event is $50 per member and $75 per guest. There will be more details to follow in the coming weeks, but keep Saturday, December 14 open! We cannot wait to see you and honor our beloved “Club” together!

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, we are celebrating the beginning of the Sewickley Sons of Italy.
One hundred years ago, our founding fathers received The Charter for Nicola Misasi Lodge #1277 on February 5, 1924. Come celebrate this momentous night starting @ 7pm. Cin Cin @ 8pm.
The theme is Aperitivo: for centuries Italians have said cheers – Cin Cin – over drinks and appetizers in the early evening hours. Bring your favorite antipasto to share with the other members. We will have Aperitivo drink specials and a complimentary prosecco Cin Cin at 8pm. There is no RSVP needed. The worst that can happen is we will have too many olives! 🙂
Our Annual Pasta Night is on Saturday, October 14. Club opens at 5pm, Dinner is @6pm. Members can bring pasta or pay $10 donation. Guests are welcome to attend for $20 per guest fee.
To RSVP please complete this form.
Ci vediamo presto! We will see you soon!

Ciao a tutti (Hello Everyone),
We are half way through the month of October.
- How many times have you proudly worn your SOI t-shirt?
- Have you shared something Italian on Social Media?
- Did you look at the links I sent in the email 2 weeks ago?
- Below I attached Heinz History Center’s Bollettino which includes a few lectures and programs coming up in the next 2-3 weeks. If you attend one, send us some feedback!
Here is one more way to follow the Italian-American Heritage: The National Order has a YouTube Channel that you can subscribe to for free. Here is the link & a link to their Save-Columbus-Day movement!

Ciao!
We need YOU to help collect items to archive the The Sewickley Area Italian Heritage Archive Project history. This will also help us collect artifacts in commemoration of our 100th Anniversary in 1924. Please see the “Archive Project” tab at the top of the page, or Click Here to redirect you! It is important that we maintain a robust record of our Italian heritage and the individuals that established and maintained the Loggia Nicola Misasi Lodge #1277 for a century!
Please contact Jerry Veshio (jveshio@gmail.com 412-716-5452) for any questions you may have. We need YOUR help to collect these artifacts in order to preserve our history for years to come!
As always, see you at The Club!
Please note that the SOI will now be closed for the Steelers vs. KC Playoff game tonight at 8:15pm. We made this decision due to the 6-10″ of snow that is expected to fall over the course of this evening. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, and we hope you stay safe and warm!
